Reasons to Believe You are Worthy!

Have you ever felt worthless, inadequate or just not good enough? There are days when Satan can bring you down with feelings of worthlessness. He can catch you off guard, take a seemingly great day and make you feel terrible about yourself. He is constantly telling us that we just aren't good enough.

Satan tries very hard to make us feel valued based worldly things, such as on our dress sizes, the clothes we wear and size of our home to name a few. He tries to make us feel like we are not good mothers, and we don't have the things and skills that others have (comparison). Satan knows each of us well. He knows what we struggle with and he knows exactly what lies to fill our heads with.

Lately, the devil is trying to convince me that I am not worthy of blogging for Christ. Who am I to run a blog dedicated to Jesus when I am so very far from being perfect? I am stubborn, I can be short tempered, I am not always nice or pleasant to people, I don't always read my Bible, there are times that I don't feel like going to church, and there are times I do not wake up excited to start a new day with my babies because I am so tired. It can make me feel so guilty. Why should I continue to write when I feel like a hypocrite? Satan loves it when I feel this way. He wants me to believe that I'm not good enough, and that maybe I should just give up and shut down my website.

Here are a few reasons why you should not listen to the negative voices.

Satan is a Liar
Satan is a liar! He is so good at lying, but remember he has been a liar from the beginning and he will always try to stop you from doing God’s will for your life. He will continuously attack you because he hates that you have the holy spirit inside of you! Resist the devil by putting on the full armor of God every single day.
"Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil." Ephesians 6:11
You Were Bought with a Price
In our flesh we are unworthy. We can never be worthy on our own. But many believers allow Satan to rob them of life by believing his lies about how God views them. They believe they can never be worthy in his sight. You were bought with a price. Jesus died for you, God loves you and God has a plan for you, so how are you worthless?
"For God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body."Corinthians 6:20
He Cares for the Sparrows
God cares for all of his creations so much! Not even one sparrow dies and falls on the ground without God noticing it. Sparrows seem so small and worthless, in fact in the Bible, two sparrows were sold for a farthing (less then one cent)! If God values the sparrows so much, how much does He care for us? God knows so much about us that even every hair on our head is numbered! You are loved and you are worthy in Christ!
"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered."
Matthew 10:29-30
The reason I keep writing is because of Jesus. I am not a perfect writer or speaker, I don't know everything and I am definitely far from being a perfect person, but I refuse let Satan define me or allow him to make me feel unworthy of serving Christ. Serving Christ looks different for everyone. You can serve Him at work, at home, in your everyday life. Don't compare your calling or journey to someone else's. My favorite verse that fits well with this is the verse that inspired this site. Psalms 139:14 says "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful , I know that full well." You are wonderfully made, so wonderfully live your life for Christ.
