I'm Not Ashamed: Who Do You Choose?

I just saw this movie trailer this morning and was once again reminded of how fragile life is. There is nothing we can do to control what will happen, or what may happen. This movie trailer forced me to think about and reflect on what life boils down too. What is your purpose? What direction are you heading in?  What or who are you putting your trust and hope in? Who are you serving?

Although we may at some point get caught in dangerous and frightening situations. we have to remember who is in control. If you have given your life to Jesus, you can experience a kind of peace that I believe you cannot have without Jesus in your life. You also have to give your family to God too, he loves them so much and will take care of them no matter what. This doesn't always mean things will turn out perfectly, but he has powerful plans beyond our understanding for each of us. Talk to Him, He is waiting for you...

Here are a few Bible verses that you can read for comfort and for reminders of God's faithfulness.

"For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”Isaiah 41:13

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”John 16:33

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. ..Matthew 6:25-7:29

"It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
Deuteronomy 31:8
... Just something to think about ...

  1. You are right in saying you will definitely feel a higher purpose in life when your life is guided by the love of God. I think God wants us all to be happy, to experience things that make us happy, to find happiness in helping others be happy. Once you feel that light in your heart your life becomes wonderful! You start seeing the purpose of your existence and it usually is found in helping others. Very touching trailer, looking forward to seeing the movie!

  5. It's been ten years. I still can't imagine how a very adorable girl like her would have to die this way. Rest in peace, Rachel.
