Crockpot Whole Chicken

There are so many recipes that you can use for a crock pot. Crock pot cooking is so easy literally anyone can do it. I am going to share a fail proof recipe for whole chicken. It is so easy and delicious you will NEVER buy a pre-made rotisserie chicken again.

Ingredients1 whole chicken 4-5 lbs (I get 2 for about $10 at Costco)
1 tbsp of garlic powder
2 tbsp of paprika
1 tbsp of parsley
2 tbsp of melted butter
*Mrs. Dash salt free seasoning to taste

Clean out the chicken, place it in the crockpot. Mix seasonings one at a time into the melted butter. Spread mixture on chicken. Set crockpot to 10 hrs. or low setting And walk away! This serves 6-8. If you want to add vegetables to the dish, I would recommend waiting until the last hour, so the vegetables won't get soggy.

What should you so with leftovers? See chicken salad recipe below.

Left over crockpot chicken- shredded
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup of mayonnaise
1 tsp of parsley
1 tsp of basil
1/4 tsp of dillweed (optional)
2 tsp of lemon juice
*add fresh chopped onions if desired

Crock pot chicken works well with mashed potatoes (use gravy from chicken), salad, broccoli and Italian baguette bread or fresh homemade bread (recipe coming soon). Enjoy!
