Bachelorette Party Cookies

I am sure at some point in our lives, we have hosted or at least helped with planning a bachelorette party. When it came time to hosting my sister's, I decided to go with a tea party theme. Something nice, something low key, plus it gave me an excuse to buy a big hat like Kate Middleton (love her by the way!). Of course i wanted to make party favors for everyone, I decided to make lingerie cookies. They are super easy to make and adorable. See the directions below.

Bachelorette Cookies: Yields 24

Ingredients
1 cup butter
1 cup granulated white sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 3/4 cups all purpose flower
Small tube of icing (color your choice)
Heart shaped cookie cutter (any size)
party favor bags with twist ties

Directions
In a mixer, cream together the butter and sugar.
In a separate bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients and slowly add to butter and sugar mixture.
Roll out mixture on a lightly floured surface
use a heart shaped cutout to cut out hearts and bake at 400 degrees for 7-10 minutes (until slightly golden on edges).
Once cookies are cooled on a wire rack, decorate with icing color of your choice and add delicate pearls to your preference.
